Rasika Dugal was born in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, in the Circuit House Area. In 2004, she graduated from Lady Shri Ram College for Women in Delhi with a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics. Following that, Dugal pursued a postgraduate diploma in "Social Communications Media" at Sophia Polytechnic and a postgraduate diploma in "acting" at FTII. Rasika Dugal married Indian actor Mukul Chadda in 2010.
